Dear Hermosa Family:

The clock is ticking and it's time to shop. Every winter season I encourage our families to make an effort to shop for gifts and treats locally in Hermosa Beach. In our one-square mile city, when the business community does well, our schools benefit.

Hermosa businesses are long supporters of our schools. I want to highlight some in particular who go the extra mile:

  • Martha’s 22nd Street Grill: This local eatery continuously and generously supports the HVPTO. They have awesome coffee, delicious homemade pastries, burgers, sandwiches and flatbreads. They do E-Gift cards!

  • Gum Tree: This one-of-a-kind home and gift shop and Aussie-inspired cafe on Pier Avenue is one of our largest HBEF donors. They have a wonderful gift store for kids and adults!

  • The Hook & Plow: This fresh food restaurant is an outstanding host for Hermosa Schools and generously donates to events. They pride themselves on local ingredients, great wine, warm and casual environment, excellent service, and great food!

  • Spyder Surf: Proudly outfitting Southern California and beyond in the best surf, skate, and snow gear since 1978, this retail store is a longtime partner with Hermosa Schools. The owners are local and pride themselves on supporting their community.

  • Baja Sharkeez: Always a fun night at the bar and grill - this Southern California chain is a proud sponsor of Hermosa Schools. The owners make a point of community engagement and in turn, we encourage you to support them back!

Happy holidays and good luck with the holiday hustle.

Best,

Dr. J
