Sprucing Up Turner Station Through Partnerships
Dundalk Renaissance brought State funds and volunteers to this Focus Neighborhood through a partnership with United Way, Comcast Cares, and Turner Station Beautification Team
For the 2nd year in a row, Dundalk Renaissance has partnered with United Way to bring volunteers to help spruce up one of our Focus Neighborhoods, and this time
it was Turner Station's turn! On April 30th, volunteers from Comcast Cares worked alongside United Way representatives and community leaders from the Turner Station Beautification Team and Turner Station Conservation Teams, Inc. including Gloria Nelson, Edie Brooks, and Mary Coleman, coordinated by DRC Housing Initiatives Manager Tasha Gresham-James. Funds DRC obtained from the State of Maryland through the Keep Maryland Beautiful initiative paid for fresh mulch and some new shrubs, and 5 locations along key community gateways received some springtime TLC.
