News Release -  The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will present the 24 th Annual Holiday Lights Parade on Friday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. along Main Street in Downtown Williston. KEYZ - Small Business Saturday is coming to Williston Nov. 24! Rachel Lordemann, Member Relations and Communications Manager for the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce, says one doesn't have to leave Williston to find everything on your holiday shopping lists. "I think you'll find most of your favorite stores in Williston are small businesses, so they will be open that day with specials, with deals, to incentivize you guys for shopping local that day," Lordemann said.  Read More
Williston Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Nov. 28

Williston Economic Development - The City of Williston will celebrate its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the corner of 26th Street and 2nd Avenue. The ceremony will run from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. There will be Christmas carolers, tasty refreshments and a warm bonfire. We hope to see you there!

Williston Herald - The school board for Williston Public School District No. 1 is preparing for a 50-plus day push to educate the public about its upcoming bond referendum, including a series of public forums.  The next forums will be held Dec. 6, Dec. 17, Jan. 3 and, possibly, on Jan. 7. News Release - The 
Williston Basin Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute recognized the winners of the seventh annual Achievement Awards. 
The awards were presented during the Williston Petroleum Banquet held on Nov. 16 at the Grand Williston Hotel. Award recipients included   iPIPE, Oasis Petroleum, Tractor and Equipment, Bob Reynolds, Bill Dutton, JoAnn Callahan, and Jerry Illerbrun.  Read More

Oil, Gas Production posts Record Highs in October
North Dakota's oil production was up 66,751 barrels month over month while gas production was up 89,008 cubic feet per day during the same period.
Williston Herald - North Dakota posted new all-time highs for oil and gas production in September, just ahead of a price crunch that began in October that is likely to contribute to dampening activity in the upcoming months. Read More
Williston Center for Development's Holiday Open House Dec. 7

The community is invited to Williston Economic Development's fifth annual Holiday Open House on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5-8 p.m. The gathering will be held at the Williston Center for Development located at 113 4th Street East (near Downtown Williston). Join WED for complimentary beverages, appetizers, door prizes and much more! "It's an end of the year thank you to the investors, developers and lenders that we have worked with in 2018. It's also a chance to celebrate successes, build comradery and educate anyone interested in learning more about economic development," said Shawn Wenko, WED executive director. McKenzie County Schools to hold Public Forums on Bond Referendum
Roundup - With continued student enrollment growth, considerations are being made towards an additional elementary school to Watford City. A bond vote is scheduled for January 8, 2019. There will be three forums to help spread information about it. Sidney Herald - Representatives of American Crystal Sugar Company and Big Sky Sugar Cooperative announced recently that they have signed a non-binding letter of intent providing the framework by which Big Sky would become the owner of the Sidney sugar processing facility. Big Sky is a newly formed cooperative that is owned by sugarbeet growers who currently deliver sugar beets to the facility. Read More
Watford City Firm speaks to Minot Chamber's Energy Committee
Minot Daily News - A former petroleum engineer who started his own business with a colleague was the guest speaker at the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce's Energy Committee recently. Joel Brown and Jeff Kummer are owners of McKenzie Mineral Management LLP. Brown told Chamber members, since he and Kummer are longtime McKenzie County residents, family and friends with mineral rights were coming to them and asking them questions such as, 'Am I getting paid correctly, why am I getting paid on this well but not this well?' "These are tough questions, if you don't have the background in the industry, they are daunting to answer," Brown explained. Read More

11/23 ------ Williston Area Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights
The annual event will be held on Main Street beginning at 6 p.m. Contact the Chamber to register your parade entry featuring the theme 'Christmas Carols.' 

11/24 ------ Small Business Saturday
Shop small and support your local businesses.

11/29  ------ A Magical Medora Muscial
The 2018 tour is coming to Willston High School at 7:30 p.m. Fi ve legendary Medora performers will be featured in the family-friendly Holiday Show .  Tickets are available at the CVB. 

12/05 ------ 1 Million Cups
The community is invited to support and learn about business startups in Williston. The free one hour meeting runs from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Teton Lounge on the Williston State College campus.

12/06 ------ Legislative Open House
The community is invited to meet legislators from Districts 1, 2, 4 and 39 at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Williston Hotel. The location and time still TBD.

12/06 ------ WPSD#1 Public Forum
The community is invited to learn about the Bond Issuance and Mill Levy Referendum to be held Jan. 8.

12/07 ------ Williston Economic Development Holiday Open House
The community is invited to join Williston Economic Development for some holiday cheer as we celebrate the past and look forward to 2019! The open house will run from 5-8 p.m. at 113 4th Street East (Williston Center for Development building).

12/07-08 ------ Holiday Stroll
T he Holiday Stroll will begin Friday evening with hot toddies, shopping, s'mores and food while Saturday will feature pictures with Santa and kids activities!

The expo is billed as a premier North Dakota Oil Shale event. The two-day show will be held in Bismarck, ND.
