Want to find out how to be more successful at getting shops? Read the list below and you are on your way!  

Note: The information below is optional and completely up to you as an Independent Contractor.  

Know your defaults and filter options: When you log into the ISS platform, you can click on “Available Shops”. There you will have the ability to filter shops by different options. If you know you will be in an area or traveling you can filter it out to 100 miles. You can also filter by a specific city, state, zip code, and even categories. After applying a new filter, make sure to click the magnifying glass to refresh the screen to show possible new shops and information.  

Under your “Update Profile” tab scroll down to the “Notification Settings” and you will see that you can change the “miles” number. This will send you notifications for opportunities that distance from you.  

Download the ISS app: There are a lot of great features that come along with downloading the ISS app.  

Turn on your notifications: If you want to receive emails notifying you of available shops, go to your “Update Profile” tab, scroll down to the “Notification Settings” and you will see that you can click “yes” to receive “Email Notifications of Available Shops”.  

If you are interested in getting ISS mobile notifications while passing by a shop in the area OR push notifications in general, make sure you turn your mobile notifications on.

Key things to be a successful IC and help you receive continuous assignments:  

  • Keep organized. Input the dates/times of your mystery shops into a calendar and set up reminders for yourself. You'll want to make sure you're following through with your mystery shops to keep your rating up. 
 
  • If your shop doesn't have specific hours to shop and you are able to choose any time they are open, avoid going during busy times. This way you avoid large crowds, the employees aren't as overwhelmed, and you have fair time to evaluate them.
 
  • When you have reached your request limit on the site, we encourage you to give us a call. We would be more than happy to schedule you to more, if possible. 
 
  • If you request a shop and it reads the date is not available, the shop is still available, you must pick a different date. If you still have any issues with the dates, please call our Schedulers at 1-888-300-8292, to see when the next available date is and they can override the system from their end.
 
  • We post new shops on the board around the 15th of every month. Keep in mind some are posted throughout the month, depending on when the client wants them specifically posted. We do suggest checking the site often so you don't miss out on any opportunities.
 
  • Only accept evaluations, you are comfortable performing.
 
  • Never request or accept evaluations you are not 100% confident that you can complete on time.
 
  • You should generally enjoy interacting with people.
 
  • Have a PayPal and make sure the PayPal address we have on file is active and correct.
 
  • Always keep your ISS profile up-to-date.
 
  • Stay in communication with our company/team. Our office is open Monday through Friday 7:30am PST to 4:30pm PST. We have emails and voicemails if you contact us after hours and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
 
  • You should be able to remember small details and have excellent observation skills.
 
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
 
  • Have a computer and the ability to check email often.
 
  • Have reliable internet access and transportation.
 
  • Have access to a scanner or digital camera.
 
  • Know that your fully completed evaluation is due by 11:59pm PST on the date you conduct your shop, unless otherwise noted in your overview.
 
  • Fully read our company’s contract so you are aware of when you are paid, etc.  
 
  • Have a positive attitude with the employees during your evaluations and with our TEAM members always.
