We've visited the Museum a few years ago and had a wonderful morning of looking back in history when almost every town had a trolley. The Museum maintains several diverse collections of equipment, photographs, documents and artifacts which preserve the history and heritage of the Trolley Era and owns nearly 100 vintage transit vehicles.
We'll enjoy a 1.5-mile scenic ride, taking in the salt marsh and observing local wildlife like eagles and ospreys.
After the tour we'll go to lunch in East Haven where there's an ample choice of restaurants.
GETTING THERE
The drive to the museum is about 45 min. from Westport.
Drive separately or car pool from Exit 18.
Arrive at Exit 18 for a 9 am departure.
PRICE
$10 pp, seniors rate, each, pay directly to the museum when arriving.
RSVP REQUESTED
The tour is limited to 40 so we don't anticipate a problem accommodating all interested. But we appreciate knowing who's coming.
