In case you missed it: New Marketplace Provide Law in effect as of January 1
The new Marketplace Provider Law (2019 Wisconsin Act 10) that was passed earlier this year took effect on January 1, 2020. It clarifies that a marketplace provider is required to collect and remit Wisconsin sales or use tax on all sales of taxable products and services that the marketplace provider facilitates on behalf of a marketplace seller.

U.S. hotels see GOPPAR rise of 6.1% in November 
Asian Hospitality 
After a negative profit turn in October, U.S hotels saw robust growth with a GOPPAR increase of 6.1 percent in November over last year, according to HotStats. It was the second-highest increase of 2019 while the year-to-date profit was almost flat with just a 0.3 percent increase.

U.S. December unemployment rate unchanged at 3.5%

Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 145,000 in December, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 3.5 percent. Notable job gains occurred in retail trade and health care, while mining lost jobs.
