Bits and Pieces

The air is cooler, the days are a bit shorter and those of us who live in Arizona are grateful for this change. Barbara let you know that she had scheduled dental surgery this past week, and I can share with you that she is home licking her wounds and spending time with Murfee, Katie, Wee-Willie, and Emi. Her dental surgeon has determined that she is healing as she should, and while she isn’t eating steak yet, she is taking care of herself. I’m sure she is looking forward to the day this is behind her and she will be very grateful it is over.
As we speak of gratefulness, seventeen eager students entered our classroom this past week for our most recent QCT/QuiltPath/QM Workshop. If these acronyms are not familiar to you, let me explain. The Grace Company who designed the Q’nique long arms and frames we sell in our shop is the developer of automated longarm software. Quilters Creative Touch software is used with the Q’nique and Eclipse longarms, QuiltPath was developed by Grace to work with APQS machines and QuiltMagine works with Nolting longarms. Twice a year, we hold a three-day workshop and bring national educator Joyce Blowers from NY State to sunny Arizona. She covers the basics and beyond so we can use our software to achieve the look we want. Students attending hail from anywhere across North America – this year we welcomed students from Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, and Texas, to name some of them. Prior classes have included students from Canada, Washington and almost every state on the Atlantic. I think all of them were grateful for the learning. Perhaps you’ll join us at our next workshop!
If you own a Q’nique machine, all QCT tiers (QCT6 E2E, QCT6 Plus, and QCT6 Pro) are 30% off our lowest prices! The savings are huge ~ we are also offering 30% off upgrades from one tier to another AND 30% off the Gold Card. We would be happy to discuss options with you and help you navigate to the tier and price point that works best for you. Call us, stop in, or let us know how we can help you. No longarm? We can change that for you. This month you will receive a GWP valued at over $1,300 with any new Q’nique or Little Rebel purchase. Our combination pricing, bundling a machine, and frame offers significant savings. And, we have even lowered the price of the Q’nique 19X this month – and yes, you can get a FREE Cutie Breeze or Q-Zone Hoop Frame or Q-Zone Queen 8’ frame with the 19X. Interested in a Q’nique 19X Elite – we have a special where you add an Evolution Hoop frame for just $550 with your 19XE machine purchase.
I’m also grateful for the newest fabric arrivals. It’s hard to be sad when you see the bright and colorful new Tula Pink Untamed fabrics! As we have come to expect the florals are large and bright, the designs are detailed and I can picture them being used in quilts, bags, collage quilts, and quilted jackets, the possibilities are endless. We can’t wait to see what you make – bring us your show and tell so we can take pictures for our social media pages. As creators, we are always looking for inspiration!
Our classroom has been filling as more snowbirds are back – it’s been great catching up with you and hearing your summer stories! We invite you to join us in our classes and encourage you to reserve your seat by signing up online or in store:
