Shoulder Closures in Project Area 

CALCASIEU PARISH -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces intermittent shoulder closures in multiple locations within project limits. These shoulder closures will primarily be on service roads. There will be some shoulder closures on mainline I-10 where it is deemed necessary for safety or accessibility. These will take place Wednesday, March 5, 2025, through Monday, March 24, 2025, from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The following areas with shoulder closures:

• I-10 Eastbound and Westbound all corresponding service roads from Prater Road / Bayou D’Inde Pass Road to Kirkman Street

These closures are necessary to conduct guardrail and cable barrier repair, bridge inspection and repair, roadway repair and inspection, drainage repair and maintenance, traffic sign repair or replace, debris pickup, as well as roadway lighting inspection and repairs.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
