Show Update

Welcome to your Tuesday E-Newsletter!

We genuinely appreciate everyone’s understanding of us managing priorities for Attendees & Exhibitors through the first three days of the Show. Thank You!

It has been non-stop running for us to keep up with all of our Show-Day responsibilities.

Now that we are into the weekdays, we expect to have more time to do admin work, emails, walk the aisles and talk with Exhibitors.

We are very mindful of wanting to talk with as many exhibitors as possible when we are together here in-person. This can be a challenge when we are dealing with so many consumers, media, seminars and features. We are also sensitive to not interrupting exhibitors when you are speaking with a customer as we come by your space. We don’t want to linger and rush someone into finishing a conversation with you.

Please let us know if you would like one of us to stop by, whether you have something specific to talk about or you would just like to say Hello! That would really help us out, to ensure no one is offended if we miss connecting with you.

You can leave a note at the Show Office, Salon 103, and indicate who you would like to stop by. Or, you can contact us directly:

As mentioned yesterday, each year we provide an attendance update a few times during the show. Last year’s show saw a total of 60,125 attendees, over the Show’s 10 days.

This year’s Show is a 9-day Show, as a result of an extensive exhibitor survey process on whether. The decision was made to open on Saturday (versus Friday previously).

For your information: Canadian Boat Shows utilizes a system of counting each ticket once. This is unlike other shows/events that utilize a turn style system, that often counts consumers and exhibitors’ multiple times. We ensure that each person (ticket/badge) is counted one time only.

Final attendance is determined by counting each paid admission ticket at the box office, e-ticket, multi-day return tickets, exhibitor guest ticket, complimentary ticket, exhibitor badge, marine trade badge and children.

Here is a summary of the first three days of the Show, consumers only. These numbers do not include exhibitor or marine trade badges.

  • Saturday: 10,107 attendees versus 11,068 on Saturday in 2024, which is an 8% decrease.
  • Sunday: 8,246 attendees versus 8,079 on the Sunday in 2024, which is a 2% increase.
  • Monday: 3,321 attendees versus 3,340 on the Monday in 2024, which is almost identical to the prior year.

We look forward to connecting with you over the next 6 show days. We also hope you are finding the daily Exhibitor Newsletter informative and helpful.

Have a great day!

REMINDER: Move-Out Rules & Guidelines

Although we have six days week remaining in the show,

we need to begin preliminary plans for move-out.

REMINDER:

Health & Safety Regulations are the same during move-out

as they were during move-in.

MOVE-OUT GUIDELINES:

  •  Storage crates will be returned to your exhibit space by Monday, January 27, at 8AM
  • On Monday, January 27, all exhibitors report to the staging yard for a vehicle window card and building access.
  • Freight-free aisles will be maintained.
  • There is limited access to the show floor; you are encouraged to bring a dolly to the show to transport materials.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn - safety shoes, hard hats when working around cranes, fall-arrest equipment when accessing high-activity zones

CRANES & FORKLIFTS:

  •  If you need a crane or forklift to help lift boats, please  CLICK HERE to download the request form, complete it, and return it to the Show Office (Salon 103) by 9pm this Wednesday, January 22, so we can begin creating the schedule.

  •  Printed forms are available at the Show Office for those who do not have access to a printer.

  •  If we don't receive a crane service form from you, we will assume you do not require assistance from the show's equipment.

MOVE OUT SCHEDULE

  • It's important that exhibitors adhere to target times for move-out, as it is vital to getting everyone out on deadline. There will be a full move-out on Sunday evening with the majority of BOOTH EXHIBITORS leaving between 6 and 9pm.

  • On Friday, BOAT EXHIBITORS will receive specific target times for their move-out, with designated crane and forklift times for their boats.

  •  Many boat companies located near the roll-up doors will be given target times for Sunday's move-out. This is necessary in order to get the cranes into the building to begin lifting boats Monday at 8am sharp!

  • The INDUSTRY BUILDING and EAST ANNEX must be completely vacated by 6pm, Monday; and the Main Hall, by 6pm, Tuesday.

If you have questions regarding move-out, please leave a message at the

Show Office for move-out coordinator Shawn McConnell (416-574-9826),

who will come by your display to talk to you.

Special Announcement: NO ImmediateTariffs

Thanks to Boating Ontario for the update to members that was distributed on Monday afternoon regarding tariffs.

Following is a copy of the article in the National Post.

According to The National Post:

"Ahead of his [Donald Trump] inauguration ceremony, a presidential memo was to be sent to U.S. federal agencies instructing them to re-examine trade policies and re-evaluate relationships with Canada, Mexico and China, but didn’t specifically call for any immediate executive orders to enact new economic measures."
