REMINDER: Move-Out Rules & Guidelines

Although we have five days remaining in the show,

we need to begin preliminary plans for move-out.

REMINDER:

Health & Safety Regulations are the same during move-out

as they were during move-in.

MOVE-OUT GUIDELINES:

  •  Storage crates will be returned to your exhibit space by Monday, January 27, at 8AM
  • On Monday, January 27, all exhibitors report to the staging yard for a vehicle window card and building access.
  • Freight-free aisles will be maintained.
  • There is limited access to the show floor; you are encouraged to bring a dolly to the show to transport materials.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn - safety shoes, hard hats when working around cranes, fall-arrest equipment when accessing high-activity zones

CRANES & FORKLIFTS:

  •  If you need a crane or forklift to help lift boats, please  CLICK HERE to download the request form, complete it, and return it to the Show Office (Salon 103) by 9pm this Wednesday, January 22, so we can begin creating the schedule.

  •  Printed forms are available at the Show Office for those who do not have access to a printer.

  •  If we don't receive a crane service form from you, we will assume you do not require assistance from the show's equipment.

MOVE OUT SCHEDULE

  • It's important that exhibitors adhere to target times for move-out, as it is vital to getting everyone out on deadline. There will be a full move-out on Sunday evening with the majority of BOOTH EXHIBITORS leaving between 6 and 9pm.

  • On Friday, BOAT EXHIBITORS will receive specific target times for their move-out, with designated crane and forklift times for their boats.

  •  Many boat companies located near the roll-up doors will be given target times for Sunday's move-out. This is necessary in order to get the cranes into the building to begin lifting boats Monday at 8am sharp!

  • The INDUSTRY BUILDING and EAST ANNEX must be completely vacated by 6pm, Monday; and the Main Hall, by 6pm, Tuesday.

If you have questions regarding move-out, please leave a message at the

Show Office for move-out coordinator Shawn McConnell (416-574-9826),

who will come by your display to talk to you.

NMMA Hall of Fame Inductee - Marc Duhamel

On Tuesday, January 20, during the Toronto International Boat Show, at the NMMA Canada Industry Breakfast, Marc Duhamel, co-CEO and president of Legend Boats was inducted into the NMMA Canada Hall of Fame.

Duhamel’s passion for the boating industry began at an early age as he immersed himself in the family business, co-founded by his father, Victor. During this time, he gained hands-on experience and cultivated a deep understanding of the marine industry. In 1992, after graduating with honors from Laurentian University, Duhamel joined Legend Boats full-time and immediately began applying his knowledge and vision to elevate the company.

Under Duhamel’s guidance, Legend Boats achieved several significant milestones, including the introduction of innovative boat designs and customer-centric practices to make boating accessible for customers. He also helped set industry standards in Canada by using more durable production practices.

Notably, he expanded operations to four fully owned retail stores, launched innovative ventures such as boatopia.com and achieved recognition on Boating Industry’s Top 100 Dealers for 10 consecutive years.

“Throughout his career, Marc has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and the recreational boating industry,” said Marie-France MacKinnon, executive director of NMMA Canada. “His service on the NMMA Board of Directors for more than 15 years has been invaluable, playing a pivotal role in strategic initiatives and industry advocacy, including leading efforts around Boating Day on Parliament Hill.”

Marc joins an esteemed list of Hall of Fame recipients starting in 1998 with Harold D. Shield, the original founder of the Toronto International Boat Show. The list to date of previous Hall of Fame inductees is on the NMMA Canada website. Click here to preview list.
