Late Night Thursday - Thank You!

We would like to thank all of the exhibitors’ and their staff who stayed until 10PM for Late Night Thursday.

In efforts to meet our consumer's request for extended hours for a relaxed, unrushed weekday shopping experience - we introduced Later Night Thursday this year.

The show show floor had great attendance, a positive vibe and better crowds than the weeknights Monday to Wednesday.

Great job everyone!

Days 4-6 | Attendance Update

Good Morning Exhibitors - it's Friday!

In our Tuesday Exhibitor Newsletter, we provided an attendance update on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Here’s an update on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!

  • TUESDAY: 3,168 attendees versus 2,433 on the Tuesday in 2024. This represents an increase of 30% from the prior year’s Tuesday.

  • WEDNESDAY: 3,271 attendees versus 3,306 on Wednesday in 2024, which is a 1% decrease from the prior year’s Wednesday

  • THURSDAY: 5,177 attendees versus 3,655 on the Thursday in 2024, which is a 42% increase compared to the Thursday in 2024.

Late Night Thursday was NEW for the Show this year.

Most long-time Exhibitors know we are constantly seeking feedback on everything we do --- from both Exhibitors and Consumers.

Over the past ten years, the Show has reduced evening hours several times. Many years ago, the Show use to be open all weekdays until 10pm. Then changed to 9pm. Then to 8pm. Then post-pandemic, the weekday hours were changed to a closing of 7pm.

Over the past few years, the Show has received increasing negative feedback from Consumers, on the reduced Show Hours. Due to the size of the Show, the number of Exhibitors, the amount of product to shop for – it is challenging for Consumers to accomplish what they come to the show for during the reduced hours.

We have been defending the reduced hours to Consumers for several years, while at the same time balancing the preferences of Exhibitors.

Following surveys and discussions with the Show Committee, we made the decision to introduce a new, LATE NIGHT THURSDAY, for extended shopping hours.

Following the show we will review ticket sales data, combined with Exhibitor feedback, to determine whether this is a direction to continue and expand upon for next year.

The attendance numbers and initial feedback from Exhibitors and Consumers on Thursday night are very positive.

Note: Thursday’s attendance – was the highest Thursday attendance in 12 years. The last time a Thursday attendance was higher than 5,177 was 2013.

Note: Today, Friday – is a PA Day across many School Boards in the Greater Toronto Area. We’re looking forward to a good final 3 days of the Show.

Have a great day!

2025 Waterfront Tourism Summit

Boating Ontario hosted the 2025 Waterfront, Tourism Summit during the course of the day on Thursday. With over 65 delegates from across the province, as far north as Temagami to Windsor to Sarnia, to Belleville and Kingston, and Niagara, the event was an exceptional success.

The Minister of Tourism, Culture & Gaming, the Hon. Stan Cho (top right photo) welcomed the delegates with his own stories of his passionate connection to the water.

The focus of the event was to educate towns on the economic value of looking at their town from the water as opposed to just road and rail when it comes to finding tourism dollars and connecting community, boating, and economic impact.

Speakers focussed on infrastructure and waterfront development strategies and opportunities, and the engineering process with an additional emphasis on connecting existing business community to your waterfront; from the water back to land, shared and invested as a community.

The day also included a full guided tour of the Toronto International Boat Show for the delegates, and the end was full of compliments on the content, and the information shared.

A full press release will be issued by Boating Ontario. k

SailGP Meetings Held At The Show
