We lost another friend recently.
Watching the rain, I sense that the time is this house will also be coming to an end.
We want something smaller, something with neighbors not vacation rentals.
In the grey day, there is a sense of time erasing my life.
Sadness, as I remember family and friends gone or far away.
I grieve the things I can no longer physically do.
The days of skiing and motorcycling long gone.
Yet wonder grows. I could spend a lifetime studying gold finches at the feeder and still not know it all.
That one detail, would lead to 10,000 details and each 10,000 more.
I could study the stars or mythology and still not reach the end of my questioning.
When all else falls away, wonder remains and grows stronger.
What a thing it is to alive.
Kim - may you know wonder this week.

Women’s History
Women We Should Know
Vuyisile Jaca, Maryama Seck and Junella King © Kaia Bint Savage / The Maiden Factor
Thirty-five years ago, the yacht Maiden, with the first ever all female crew rounded Cape Horn in the Whitbread Round the World Race and secured their place in the history books. This week, Maiden, currently competing in the retro Ocean Globe Race will include the first black female crew members to race around the notorious Cape Horn.
Why does this historic event matter? Because if a girl can see it, she can be it. We know that girls from all over the world will be watching and will be inspired by these amazing women. Maiden and her all female crew make history again! (sail-world.com)

Women have been shut out of the financial world, making it almost impossible to get their ideas and inventions funded. SHOW HER THE MONEY pulls back the curtain on the extreme underfunding of women in the Venture Capital world, with less than 2% of venture capital going to women. It features women entrepreneurs who bootstrap their companies into success stories, and the fierce and financially savvy women who fund them.
SHOW HER THE MONEY is a compelling and crucial reminder that money is power and women need it to achieve true equality. You can watch the trailer HERE.
