Delivers Strong Results
North America's largest indoor boat show, bid farewell to another successful year this past Sunday with many exhibitors reporting strong sales results, despite a slight dip in attendance due to inclement weather.

The 2019 Show attendance totalled 73,464 down 5% from 2018, having experienced 8 out of 10 days with major snowfall, ice and extreme cold across the province. The closing weekend had over 1,800 e-tickets unredeemed, likely due to weather conditions.

"Show results and exhibitor feedback have exceeded expectations this year," said Cynthia Hare, Show Manager. "Exhibitors were feeling unsure heading into the new year of what the retail environment would be; however, our continued focus on helping more people become boaters, providing an experiential environment to grow knowledge, and new exciting initiatives have all contributed to a strong show and quality attendees."

awardsProgram Awards $10,000 & Reports Boats Sold by Participating Dealers
Offering a $10,000 prize for one lucky boat-buyer, our BUY A BOAT & WIN contest, sponsored by RBC, creates incentive for consumers to finalize boat purchases before the end of the show.

Jason Hunt, Cambridge, ON, is our 2019 winner! Jason wins $10,000 toward the purchase of his 16' 2019 Bayliner Element from Jeff Petch at Gordon Bay Marine.

We will present his cheque in the spring when Jason takes possession of his new boat.

Each day of the show, we also made a random dealer draw from BUY A BOAT & WIN ballots.

Congratulations to our $100 dealer draw winners for 2019:
  • Rick Ramolla - One 17 Marine
  • Tom Welsh - Huntsville Marine
  • Ashley McIntyre - The Boat Warehouse
  • Andrew Manwaring - Desmasdons Boat Works
  • Joe Strong - Quinn's Marine
  • John Swarts - Paris Marine
  • Brian Smith - Gordon Bay Marine
  • Ashton Beukers - SWS Marine
  • Bill Young - Walsten Marine
Number of Boats Sold:
A secondary objective of this program is to generate sales statistics - frequently requested by media. Accuracy of numbers we provide is reliant on exhibitor participation in the program.

This year, the BUY A BOAT & WIN program reported 711 boats sold by dealers who participated in the program by submitting ballots for boats sold.

Note: 711 only represents boat sales reported by those who participated in the program - which is why it is important that dealers participate in the program so boat sales figures given to media are as accurate as possible.

Thank you to all who participated!
