This month we join grieving families in honoring military personnel whose lives were lost during their service in the United States Armed Forces.

As our country enjoys Memorial Day weekend, parades, poppies, and car races, let’s be sure to also pause in remembrance.

Foundation For Women Warriors
Foundation For Women Warriors is a 100-year-old organization dedicated to honoring and empowering the women veteran community. They offer programs designed to enhance the personal and economic wellbeing of women veterans and address the growing needs of military women transitioning to civilian life.
REBOOT Workshops
In 2010, the National Veterans Transition Service Inc. (NVTSI) created REBOOT Workshops™ to help transitioning service members, veterans and spouses successfully transition from the military-to-civilian world through an intensive workshop that empowers them with resiliency and self-sufficiency.
Jesus Our Boss, Inc.

Joshua Freeland graduated from the Life House in June 2020. Joshua served 15 years in prison and was released on parole in April 2020. Upon graduation, Joshua moved into his own place and married, Maggie. He adopted Hannah, his first rescue who faced being euthanized due to her fear of men.

Joshua participated in dog training through Paws for Life while in Mule Creek State Prison. He currently volunteers with Jesus Our Boss, Inc. (JOB) as a mentor and is the lead dog trainer for JOB's program, JOB Dog. JOB Dog offers dog training including basic commands, on/off leashing training, obedience and rehabilitation.
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation supports children, families, and communities as they strengthen and create conditions that propel vulnerable children to achieve success as individuals and as contributors to the larger community and society.

We all have a lot going on. If someone has expressed interest in donating to your organization, but hasn't yet, don't hesitate to make a quick phone call or send a brief email.
Show Appreciation
Keeping a donor is easier than gaining a new one. Make sure you always thank your donors by sending them emails, a handwritten letter, or even a phone call. Donors who feel appreciated are more connected to your organization and are more likely to donate again.
