L.A. Center for Digital Art

Dear Artists,

I am organizing a group exhibit for July  2019  "OPEN SOURCE" patterned after a series of successful salon style exhibits we have had and we would like to include your work!

This is an open exhibit for all artists especially those that participate in LACDA calls and competitions, SIGGRAPH DAC Artists, plus any and all friends and colleagues. LACDA creates the prints, referrals are most welcome.

News of the exhibit will be distributed to our email list of over 15,000 to our network of curators, critics and our considerable social media outlets.

The Opening Reception will continue our series of well attended Saturday openings which have been successful at drawing a more specialized art crowd. The exhibit will also have a lively Downtown L.A. Art Walk preview on the Thursday prior to the opening.

The exhibit will take place in our largest gallery area and features artists focused on digital art and photography. This program raises funds for gallery operations, we rely on these exhibits for our sustainability.

Exhibit Dates: July 11- August 3, 2019
Reception: Saturday, July 13, 6-9pm
Artwalk preview: Thursday, July 11, 7-9pm

How it works:
Each artist has us do one or more prints for the show at the uniform paper size of 44"x34" ( new larger 40"x30" image area with 2" margin/trim area) on your choice of luster, gloss or semi-matte at $145 per print.

All are Premium Epson papers and of the highest quality. Having us do the prints is mandatory, as well as the standardized size (which allows for the successful overall design of the exhibit.

We will try to show as many artists as possible, so the show will be a salon style hanging, one work atop another vertically double and triple hung. Work is for sale and the artists receive 50% commission. Prints remaining can be shipped at nominal cost to artist.

No limit on number of prints an artist can show, but space is limited to about 50 prints. Space is reserved when funds are received. Both tall and wide aspect images are welcome.

LACDA is about participation!
Los Angeles Center For Digital Art is dedicated to the vast panorama of hybrid forms of art and technology that constitute our moment in culture. We are committed to supporting local, international, emerging and established artists through exposure in our gallery. We have an ongoing schedule of exhibits and competitions, produce editions of wide format archival prints, and collaborate in the production of digital artworks in our studio. As well we are involved with curating digital exhibits at institutions and festivals outside of the LACDA gallery schedule.
