Fremont Township Cert wants you to be prepared in the event of an emergency. Do you know where your gas shut off is or how to turn off the electricity to your home? These and other safety questions are answered in the CERT class being offered by Fremont Township. Meet new people and learn important safety skills.
A free six-week training course will run on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, February 15 through March 22. Sessions will be held at the Fremont Township Center. To register for this six-week program and learn lifesaving skills, please email team member Judy Hammel at

We have had many requests for a shredding event at Fremont Township. Our new State Representative Nick Sauer has agreed to sponsor a shredding only event on Saturday May 6 at 8:30 am at Fremont Township.
I will remind you as the date approaches.

The next election is on April 4th. You will be voting for Village Mayor,Trustees and clerk, Township Officials, Park District, School and Library Boards. Basically the people who vote on the levies for about 90 percent of your tax bill. The list of candidates is not yet available at the county clerks site, but I will include a link to what is on your ballot in a future newsletter.

Turning 65? File for your Senior Homestead Exemption to Save Money on your Property Tax Bill
|
To apply for the senior homestead exemption you need to visit the Fremont Township Assessor’s office. (If you live outside of Fremont go to your local assessor's office.)
You will need to bring proof of age when you apply. If the property is held in trust, you will also need a copy of the trust agreement indicating the beneficiary and signature page. If you have questions, please call the office at 847 223-2846.
This does not apply to Saddlebrook.

Fremont Township operates a food pantry for our residents in need. If you are aware of residents who need this service, please have them call our office at 847 223-2847. Our pantry is run by generous donations from our community. We are currently low on jelly.

If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Rt 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues. You may drop them in the bin on the front porch. This keeps them out of the landfill and puts them to good use.
|

Fremont Township recycles shoes year round. You will find a bin on our front porch. If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together.
We also accept eyeglasses.
|

We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.
