Dear Parents,
It was wonderful to see so many of y'all this past Sunday. Everyone had a blast at the Children's Hanukkah Party whether they were dipping custom Hanukkah candles, creating Hanukkah blessing boards, or eating their edible menorahs and homemade gelt. It was such a joy to bring light and laughter into the community and make Hanukkah memories together.
A big thank you to Rabbi Rivkin for bringing the Oil Press Workshop to Shir Chadash. The children and adults alike loved learning how olive oil is made by watching and participating in the process. The olive oil made during the workshop was used to light the menorah together at the beginning of the party.
Another thank you to NJBeats, Tulane's Jewish a capella group, for performing Hanukkah songs and other fun music at the end of the party. We look forward to having them back again to perform for us in the Spring.
Reminder that this Sunday is our last Shul School of 2023. Shul School will reconvene on January 7th, 2024 for the start of the Spring semester.
B'Shalom,
Chaviva Sands
