As salaamu Alaykum,
The Islamic Shura Council is pleased to announce that Eid al Adha will be celebrated on Monday , September 12, 2016 , following the day of Arafah, the most important day of the Hajj pilgrimage, on Sunday, September 11th, 2016.
 
It has been the Shura Council's tradition to observe Eid al Adha in solidarity with the millions of Muslims from across the world commemorating the life and legacy of Prophet Ibrahim and his family on the day of Arafah during Hajj.     
    
We wish all of the pilgrims a blessed Hajj and urge Muslims to benefit from these few sacred days by reading, reflecting and embracing the lessons of commitment and sacrifice from the life of Prophet Ibrahim and his family (may God bless all of them).
