Calling all half day kindergarten families!

Please provide input on your child care needs for school year 2012-13

We are considering adding a KinderCare Program for students enrolled in half-day kindergarten for school year 2012-2013. If you have a student entering kindergarten next fall, please take a moment to complete the KinderCare Needs Survey. We appreciate your help in mapping the needs of our local community.

 

Si View Metro Parks currently offers a Before & After School Program for all full day Snoqualmie Valley School District students in grades K-5. This program is available at Si View Community Center 6:30AM-6:30PM on all school days. After school care is also currently available at Fall City Elementary School. Students take part in small and large group activities, homework time, active games, weekly swimming, walking fieldtrips and more. Breakfast and snacks are provided. This program is available on a daily or monthly basis, and parents can choose from morning/afternoon/full day programs. Transportation to/from school is provided on SVSD buses and Si View vans.

What is the Before School Program?
Before School Care is available at Si View Community Center on all school days from 6:30AM to school start. Children enjoy small group games and activities as well as breakfast before heading out to school either on the SVSD buses or Si View vans (depending on which school they attend).
 
What is the After School Program?
After School Care is available at Si View Community Center and Fall City Elementary School on all school days from school release to 6:30PM. Students from FCES attend the Fall City site, all other students attend the Si View site. Each day children start their afternoon with a healthy snack, play active group games, have supervised homework time, regular walking field trips to the library, and weekly swimming on Fridays at Si View Pool. Children also have an opportunity to sign up for other activities offered at Si View Community Center during their stay, including swim lessons, dance classes, karate and more.
 
What about no school days?
During school breaks and most no-school days, full day camps are offered at Si View Community Center. Special activities are planned for these dates including field trips to movies, parks and more.

I just wanted to let you know how much the girls love the program. I am especially appreciative of all that you have to offer for extra curricular activities. My youngest wanted to participate in something every day of the week! They both have informed me that I cannot pick them up "early". This is a good sign that they are having tons of fun.
