Siblings Found Living in a Shed
Last winter, Child Protective Services received a report of siblings living in a shed without electricity or plumbing. They'd been sleeping under a pile of coats and had not been to school in a year.

For the youngest Bonnie, returning to school was frightening. Her Dallas CASA volunteers Linda and Kim worked closely with Bonnie's school to ensure the transition went smoothly.

Dallas CASA Classic Raises $1.7M
The Dallas CASA Classic, a charitable golf tournament jointly hosted by AT&T, Goldman Sachs, Pioneer Natural Resources and the Dallas CASA Young Professionals, raised more than $1.7 million for Dallas CASA and the child victims of abuse and neglect served by the agency.

The tournament is the largest single-day, non-PGA-sponsored golf tournament in the nation and drew nearly 600 golfers from across the country. Since its inception in 1998, the tournament has now raised nearly $23.5 million, significantly increasing Dallas CASA’s capacity to serve children as well as its stature as an important voice on behalf of children in the child welfare system.
Dallas CASA's Champion of Children Featured Singer-Songwriter Cory Morrow
Dallas CASA’s annual Champion of Children returned to The Rustic this year with a dinner and an outdoor performance by Cory Morrow, an Austin-based singer-songwriter with a heart for children.

Friends in Austin introduced Morrow to CASA and the mission appealed to him, so when Dallas CASA came calling for the Oct. 27 concert, he happily said yes. “My heart is all in for getting kids out of bad situations,” he said.

Dallas CASA Board Chair and Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall opened the evening’s events saying, “we want children to know they are cared about, and that’s what tonight is all about.”
Dallas CASA Names DEI Director
Longtime Dallas CASA supervisor Shashunda Betts-Williams recently added a new title beside her name: Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
