Sick Policies

cold_sneeze.jpg
Due to covid-19, we really need to strictly enforce extra precautions in enforcing our sick policies.

We want our program to be a safe environment that can remain open and available through any “storm.” Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Sick Policy
Please keep your children home when sick and exhibiting any symptoms.

If a child has lingering symptoms, we need a doctor’s note assuring us that the child is not contagious with a cold, is not at risk of having Covid-19 or that they have mucous due to allergies and not from being contagiously sick.

Please do not bring child to be dropped off or assessed by a teacher at school with symptoms until you have a doctor’s note of assurance of not being contagious. We would prefer to not have to turn anyone away at the gate. Thank you

Symptoms include:

Mucous/Runny nose
Cough
Chills
Fever
Lethargy
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Pin worms
Lice
Pink eye
Urinary tract infection
Contagious rash

**Please follow quarantine guidelines if you or your family have been exposed to covid.

Please have a doctor’s professional assessment that your child is not at risk of having covid and is not contagious with any other cold/disease prior to returning to school.

Safety Measures for School and Home
We are doing our absolute best at keeping our space safe and healthy.

Kids will get sick.
We understand it can be incredibly challenging having sick kids at home while needing to work. However, we feel that if we can all adhere to staying home when sick in addition to our extra daily sanitation practices, we will have a better shot at keeping each other healthy and hopefully not catching as many colds.

Heal at Home
We also feel that a child has a better opportunity of healing from a cold more quickly at home as opposed to our full days in school. We play hard, get muddy and exert a lot of energy that could otherwise be used to get better from a cold in the comforts of home rest.

Essential Workers
Team Work
We want to support all of our hard working families and keep our program open and thriving for all of us. We want to be healthy and able to provide the best care at all times. We’re in this together. You all are amazing. Thank you!

Love,
Lisa and Tammy
