Sidney Museum Hosts Popular LEGO Exhibition!

The 2022 edition of the annual LEGO Exhibition is running from January 2 until March 31 with timed admission bookable through the museum’s website. The exhibition, returning for its 16th year, features hundreds of LEGO building models. Click for more information.
Town of Sidney Waives Business License Fee for 2022

The Town of Sidney has enacted a new bylaw waiving the 2022 licence fee for local businesses. The town, which is also researching the possibility of doing away with the annual fee once and for all, did the same thing last year to help businesses weather the pandemic storm. For most businesses, the annual fee is $100. Click for more information.
Christmas in Sidney - Wrap Up

Thank you for making Christmas in Sidney an incredible success!

  • The Sidney BIA recorded 108,000 visits to the community from mid-November to January 4.
  • We saw double the registrations for the Sidney BIA Holiday Light Installation Program resulting in 115 businesses receiving Christmas lights - Sidney was certainly sparkling.
  • 64 businesses registered for the Elf Scavenger Hunt leading to a fantastic family-friendly activity for our community and 500+ photo submissions of folks participating.

Please have your elf ready for pick-up by Sidney BIA staff on Friday, January 7, 2022. Christmas Lights will be removed by contractors in mid-January.
