Second Annual Sidney Art Walk - March 14 to April 17

The Sidney BIA is excited to announce the launch of Sidney's Second Annual Art Walk in partnership with ArtSea Community Arts Council. Registered businesses have been paired with a local artist to display works in their storefronts for the community to enjoy. Galaran - Beacon Ave W Roundabout Development

Sidney, North Saanich, and Victoria Airport Authority have agreed upon a Memorandum of Understanding to build a roundabout at the intersection of Beacon Avenue West and Galaran Road. Stirling Avenue will also be realigned to connect to the roundabout. The infrastructure improvement will increase public safety, reduce congestion, and support economic development in the area. Click for more information.

Port Sidney Announces Return of the Tall Ship

Step back in time as you sail aboard Providence, a historical tall ship with stories to share from its journeys around the world. Built in 1903 she is the oldest working vessel in BC waters and draws admirers where ever she lands. 2022 Sidney BIA Board of Directors Nominations + Annual General Meeting

Nominations are now being accepted to serve on the Sidney BIA's 2022/2023 Board of Directors. The Board of Directors links members, government partners, and key community organizations to the Sidney Business Improvement Area Society. Being a Director involves responsibility and time commitment, and Directors are expected to participate collaboratively in meetings and events.

This package includes the nomination form for completion by members who wish to stand for election. Completed forms and other materials required for nominations must be received by the Sidney Businesses Improvement Area Society no later March 20, 2022.

The Sidney BIA AGM will be held virtually on Thursday, March 31 at 8:30 am. Prior to the AGM, if an election is necessary, an anonymous vote will be held electronically.

2022 Sidney Employment Expo
The Sidney Employment Expo has been officially rescheduled to take place on Thursday May 19th. This modern twist on a job fair will be co-hosted by the Sidney BIA and Beacon Community Services. Our team will be reaching out to businesses that had already registered for the original February date to provide updated details and confirm registration. Not registered yet? There is still time!
