The Sigma Alpha National Sorority Board is proud to announce the initiation of a Sorority in Development at Mississippi State University. The Mississippi State SID Chapter, already home to 19 members, has done an outstanding job completing the qualification, and the members will make excellent sisters!

As these members complete the requirements to become a Sigma Alpha Chapter, the SID at Mississippi State would enjoy encouraging words or guidance from fellow Sisters and Chapters. Their official mailing address is listed below:

Michigan State Sisters Establish Michigan 4-H Endowment Fund
The Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority at Michigan State University has taken the necessary steps to establish an endowment fund through the Michigan 4-H foundation. As active members of the agricultural community, many Sigma Alpha sisters are 4-H Alumna, and the active members of the Gamma Chapter have committed to supporting post-secondary education for other 4-H members who plan to attend MSU. The chapter has five years, until July 2020, to raise $30,000 that will remain sustainable in giving $1,000 scholarships to deserving 4-H high school seniors furthering their education at MSU. Proceeds from their fundraising efforts will go towards raising the initial $30,000 required for the endowment, with full intentions of fulfilling that amount prior to the five-year deadline.

For more information on the endowment fund or on ways to donate, please contact Kayla Mitchell at mitch704@msu.edu.

Wehner served as advisor of the Omicron Chapter at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri since chartering in 1991. He was also recognized as the Sigma Alpha Advisor of the Year in 2010. He has been teaching Animal Science at TSU since 1982 and will retire next month. This photo is from a surprise retirement party with Sigma Alpha actives and alumni on November 7, 2015.
