Dear Fellow Parishioners of St. John’s,

Given the extraordinary circumstances in which we find ourselves due to the COVID-19 pandemic, your Discernment Committee has decided to conduct discernment discussions  via  Zoom multi-party videoconferencing. We tried out this format with two groups during the first week of April. While videoconference isn’t exactly the same as an in-person discussion, everyone was engaged. There was a good give-and-take among the participants, which is what we were hoping for.

We have scheduled 14 discussions over a variety of days and times. Each group will contain a maximum of 6 people and will last about an hour and a half. Please click on one of the Eventbrite links to register. You will be sent the meeting access information in your confirmation. If you have never used Zoom before, you will need to download the “ Zoom Client for Meetings ” prior to the discussion.

The deadline for sign-ups is next Tuesday, April 14 th  at noon.

We recognize that for some, this technology will present a barrier to participation. Please rest assured that we will give you the opportunity to express your opinions and hopes for St. John’s at a later date. There isn’t any one correct way to gather feedback. We are open to other formats besides Zoom.

We hope that you, your families and friends are well, and sincerely desire your participation in discerning a future for St. John’s Episcopal Church.
