(Vail, Colo.) - Registration for Vail Recreation District's 2024 winter adult leagues is now open! Stay in shape this winter with our indoor volleyball and basketball leagues, both starting up in January. Gather your friends and family, and join us for some thrilling sports action this winter!

BASKETBALL

The winter basketball team league takes place on Sundays from Jan. 14 to March 24 (no play on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 11). The league consists of an eight-week regular season with a single-elimination playoff. Games are scheduled on Sunday nights at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. at the Homestake Peak School main gym in EagleVail. The cost is $590 per team or $545 per team for Vail Rec District taxpayers. The registration deadline is Jan. 5, 2024 or until league is full.

REVERSE COED VOLLEYBALL

The winter coed volleyball league takes place on Wednesdays from Jan. 17 to March 13 at Homestake Peak School in EagleVail. Game times are 6:45, 7:45 or 8:45 p.m. We will play reverse coed rules for this season; four‐person teams with at least one female on the court. The cost is $295 per team or $250 per team for Vail Rec District taxpayers. The registration deadline is Jan. 10, 2024 or until league is full.

ADULT DROP-IN SPORTS

Did you know that the Vail Rec District offers adult drop-in basketball and volleyball at Red Sandstone Elementary School? Basketball takes place on Monday nights from 6-9 p.m. and volleyball is on Friday nights from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The cost through Dec. 31, 2023 is $5/night or $40 for a 10-punch card. Effective Jan. 1, 2024, the cost is $6/night or $50 for a 10-punch card. Drop-in play is open to ages 18 and up (16- and 17-year-olds with experience may play with a signed parental consent form).
