Let's Break our One Credit Record!

Sign up for the One Credit Program and help break last year's record! Participation in the One Credit program helps SOU students and gives you free access to the SOU Hannon LibraryThe more members who participate, the more funding SOU gets from the State of Oregon to support the next generation of lifelong learners.


To participate, you must be age 65+ and have lived in Oregon for at least 12 months. Take a minute and sign up for the One Credit program. If you are unable to fill out the online form, give our office a call and we will help: 541-552-6048. We just have to verify your date of birth and residence. If you have already filled out the form, thank you! Forms are due by Wednesday, October 23.

OLLI Community Lectures on Heart Health

OLLI's free, public Cardiovascular Health & You lecture continues this Wednesday, October 16, from 7–8 p.m. PT via Zoom. Danielle Jacks, MD, with Asante Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons, will present “Purpose, Procedure and Recovery of Heart Bypass Surgery (CABG).” Learn how innovative and minimally invasive techniques have transformed patient outcomes. Click to register and receive a Zoom link.

The Online Book Shared Interest Group meets the third Saturday of the month at 3 p.m. PT on Zoom. All OLLI members are welcome to join.

Free Concert for OLLI Members

Chamber Music Concerts presents a FREE outreach event for OLLI members by Quartetto Di Cremona on Saturday, October 26, 10 a.m. at the SOU Music Recital Hall. No tickets needed.

SOU Class to Host Candidate Forum for Political Races

Wednesday, October 16, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. in the Rogue River Room, of SOU's Stevenson Union.

SOU Political Science students will be partnering with SOU's Office of Government Affairs to host a free forum for candidates in the races for Ashland City Council and Jackson County Board of Commissioners.

Intergenerational Discussions with SOU Students

A psychology professor at SOU is seeking community volunteers to participate in

intergenerational discussions with SOU students in Developmental Psychology. The first discussion will take place on Thursday, October 31. To participate, please email Noriko Toyokawa, Associate Professor of Psychology, at toyokawan@sou.edu by Friday, October 25.
