Topic: General County Topics Rod grew up on a cattle ranch in northern California. He has worked in the farming, mechanics, and automotive sector and as a maritime operating engineer, working for a small cruise ship company in Alaska, Panama, California, and Oregon. Rod spent over a decade building houses and had a cabinet shop focused on high-end, custom woodwork.
He has been self-employed for much of his diverse career. Since 2003 he and his staff have operated US Survey Supply out of Bandon serving customers across the nation and the world.
In addition to his recent election to the County Commission, Rod serves on the Bandon Port Commission and the board of the Coos County Transit District.
