Celebrate the Season!

We are counting down the days until our fifth annual Spring Fling Festival of Colors! Community members are invited to celebrate spring with music, dancing, and tossing color powders to spread good luck. Attendees are encouraged to wear white. There will be designated color-free zones for those who do not wish to participate in the powder toss.

The free event is sponsored by the SKN Foundation and the HMHB Initiative. Cash donations will be accepted to support Montgomery EMS and Fire Companies 1 and 2. For more information, contact the Montgomery Department of Recreation at (609) 466-3023.

Calling All Volunteers

Applications are now open for the teen volunteer program at the Montgomery Library. The summer program is open to students entering grades seventh through twelfth. Applications are due June 1 and must be completed by the prospective volunteer, not a parent or caregiver.

The online application can be found here. The application includes details regarding the available positions, training, scheduling, and more. Find more information and view volunteer opportunities at other Somerset County libraries here.

Register for Summer Camps

Registration for summer camps is open! The Rec N Crew Summer Camp begins June 29. The six-week camp invites students entering first through sixth grade to enjoy outdoor, summer activities.

Students entering seventh through ninth grade are invited to apply to the Rising Leaders program to assist with the Rec N Crew camp. Older students will receive specific training and rotate among groups to gain leadership experience and foster community engagement. Find more information on programs and registration here or contact Jessica Gonzalez at jgonzalez@montgomerynj.gov.

The Township Committee will hold the Public Hearing and Adoption of the 2026 Municipal Budget on May 14. We encourage all residents to review the budget presentation. Residents are welcome to email CFO Michael Pitts, mpitts@montgomerynj.gov with any questions.

The secure Vote-By-Mail Ballot Drop-Box located outside the Montgomery Municipal Center is now open for the 2026 Primary Election scheduled for June 2. The last day to register to vote is May 12. New Jersey voters can apply for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot online here. Early voting runs from May 26 through May 31.
