Hi Calvary Family!

This Sunday, we will have the privilege of celebrating with four people who will be declaring their faith in Jesus through water baptism during our 9 am service. Let’s not merely be spectators of this water baptism service. Let’s do whatever we can to encourage those being baptized to continue to follow Christ and “fight the good fight” of faith.

This Sunday, I will continue a series of messages I began last Sunday about Spiritual Warfare. We will look at what God’s word tells us about the schemes of the devil so that we can be prepared and guard against falling prey to our adversary, the devil who, in the words of the apostle Peter, “prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Peter reminds us that although the devil “roars like a lion,” you don’t have to fear because when you “Resist him, firm in your faith,” you can be confident that “the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”            (1 Peter 3:8-10)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED- ONE MORE TIME

Thanks to the many people who have shown up the past couple of Wednesday evenings, we have most of our plastic eggs sorted in bags and ready to be filled with candy! However, we will need help one more Wednesday evening to complete this task. We will work from 7 pm until 8:30 pm. Your help would be appreciated even if you can’t stay for the whole time.

FOLLOW JESUS

Have you heard people talk about "following Jesus" and wondered, "How can I follow someone who I can't hear, see, or touch? Has God put a desire in your heart to "follow Jesus," but you don't really know how to go about doing that?

If you answered yes to either of the above questions, then you need to attend our FOLLOW JESUS course. This three-week course will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning March 5. "FOLLOW JESUS" is designed to help you learn about and develop the essential habits of the Christian life.

It is through learning to follow Jesus that our knowledge about Jesus grows into a personal, relational knowledge of Jesus. As that happens, we will find ourselves becoming more like Jesus. INFORMATION ABOUT Jesus leads to INTIMACY WITH Jesus, enabling a life of IMITATION OF Jesus.

At the end of the class, you will take an assessment to help you understand how God has uniquely "SHAPED" you to fulfill God's purpose for your life.

Are you a passionate and reliable caregiver looking to make a difference in the lives of young children? We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our team of dedicated professionals! We are looking for a group supervisor for our pre-kindergarten classroom. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30-5:30. Our annual Calvary Church Business/Vision meeting will be held on Sunday evening, March 23, at 6 pm. Anyone who calls Calvary Church “HOME” is encouraged to attend, but this meeting is especially important for church members. Please save the date on your calendar so you don’t miss it, and we don’t miss you!

Join us for our Facebook Live “Prayer and the Word” on Mondays and Thursday mornings at 6:30 am. We begin with a brief SOAP (Scripture/Observation/Application/Prayer). Then we spend time in praise and prayer. Presently we are reading through the Psalms.
