Scripture: Psalm 119:161-168

The Sin/Shin stanza opens with princes persecuting without cause but the psalmist's heart standing in awe of God's words. And then v. 162: "I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil." After 160 verses of struggle, darkness, opposition, and near-collapse: the psalmist emerges not exhausted but jubilant. The treasure has been found by someone who had to search hard for it. Join us in worship on Sunday!

We’re grateful for Barry St. John and his faithful dedication and service to Hillcrest. Barry has been part of Hillcrest’s tech team since 2009, faithfully serving behind the scenes long before joining our staff in 2022. His commitment and care of our facilities, information technology, and audio/visual management has made a meaningful difference in the life and ministry of our church.
Barry is concluding his time on staff to support his wife, Cathy, and her work with Sonrise Ministries, while also spending more Sundays worshiping alongside their daughter and new son-in-law, who serves as a local pastor.
Barry, thank you for the many ways you have served the Hillcrest family. We celebrate all you’ve given to our Hillcrest and pray God’s blessings over you and Cathy in this next season!

On Sunday, September 13, we’re celebrating all the ways God is working in and through the people of Hillcrest! Join us for ONE worship service at 9am in the Sanctuary, filled with worship, stories of God’s goodness, and our entire church family together. All ages are invited!
Then, the celebration moves outside! Beginning at 10:15am, join us for our FREE neighborhood Block Party with inflatables, music, games, and a grilled picnic lunch for everyone. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, invite your friends and neighbors, and come enjoy one of our favorite celebrations of the year.

A new ministry year is beginning, and we'd love for you to be part of it! Whether you're already serving on a team or exploring where God may be calling you to serve, this night is for you. We'll worship together, celebrate what God has done, cast vision for the year ahead, and connect with one another over snacks and conversation.
If you're already part of a serve team, come be encouraged, refreshed, and ready for the season ahead. If you're looking for a place to serve, a breakout session will help you begin exploring your spiritual gifts and where you might find your place at Hillcrest.

MomCo Connects Moms
REGISTRATION IS OPEN / BEGINS MON SEPT 14 AT 9:30AM
At MomCo (Mom in Community) we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. MomCo meets twice a month at Hillcrest on Mondays, September '26 through May '27 from 9:30 to 11am, you'll enjoy a hot breakfast (table rotation to bring food), fellowship, guest speakers, crafts/activities, and invaluable time spent with the ladies at your table. At the same time, your children are cared for in complimentary childcare provided by Hillcrest. MomCo is for moms with kids birth through elementary age.
