In Focus: Marine Business Outlook

Presented by Matt Gruhn, MRAA President

October 28th at 1:00 PM

The marine industry is at a critical turning point. With new boat sales falling to levels not seen since 2012, and a number of external forces pressuring marine retail businesses from every angle, this does not feel like a normal downturn. Business leaders who focus on surviving 2025 or who are simply trying to better prepare for the year ahead may be putting their relevancy at risk over the long term. In this session, explore the forces of change impacting marine businesses in all sectors and of all shapes and sizes and begin to craft your approach for how you and your business can rise-up to meet the challenges ahead.

In Focus: 2025 Election Aftermath

Presented by Rob Nixon of State House Strategies

November 6th at 1:00 PM

The 2025 New Jersey gubernatorial election, set for November 4th, will determine the state's next governor and lieutenant governor. As one of only two gubernatorial races nationwide this year (alongside Virginia), it has drawn national attention as a potential bellwether for the 2026 midterms. MTA/NJ's lobbyist, Rob Nixon, will provide an overview of the election results for Governor and Assembly, how they will impact governing in New Jersey in 2026 and what it means for the recreational boating industry.

In Focus: Regulatory & Compliance Review
