Greetings DCI Families,

We’re still looking for families to host students visiting from our partner school in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in November. 20 students from Tsoying Senior high school will be visiting DCI from November 4-18 as part of our Voyager Exchange Program. While many visiting students will be hosted by a DCI student who will travel abroad later in the school year, we still have a need for supplemental host families from both high school and middle school. Hosting Overview

• Why should I host?
• Hosting is an opportunity to forge a lifelong friendship with a young person from overseas. 
• Many of our students who traveled abroad last year noted that their homestay was their favorite part of their experience. 
• When our students travel abroad, they are hosted by volunteer families. When visiting students come to DC, we strive to offer the same hospitality. 
• When are the hosting dates?
• Tsoying High School, Kaohsiung, Taiwan: Nov 4-Nov 18
• What is required to host?
• Providing a separate room in your home, 3 meals a day, and reliable transportation to DCI for your visiting student
• Including your visiting student in all planned family activities
• Attending a host family information session next fall before the students arrive
• Both high school and middle school families are welcome to host!

Our Voyager Exchanges rely on strong, reciprocal relationships between the DCI community and our partner schools. Our exchanges are organized entirely by school employees, in close collaboration with school communities. This means we can keep our international travel costs low for all those involved, both at DCI and at our partner schools. Your support as volunteer host families makes this program possible.
