2021 NYC NONPROFIT POLICY PLATFORM

Over the past several months, over 40 New York City-based nonprofit coalition groups have collaborated on creating and disseminating the 2021 Nonprofit Policy Agenda.

Convened by The Advocacy Institute, Human Services Council, and Nonprofit New York, this working group includes representatives from all sub-sectors of nonprofits and has focused on lifting up values and operating principles that are important to all of us. This work aims to build solidarity across the nonprofit sector, expand our sphere of influence and demonstrate the power of a unified sector. We are stronger together.

The 2021 Nonprofit Policy Platform will be used to educate candidates, nonprofit staff members, and the communities we serve about the importance of the nonprofit sector and the key roles that nonprofits need to play in developing and implementing recovery strategies for NYC. We believe this work lays the groundwork needed to hold elected officials and policymakers at the local level accountable to the nonprofit sector.

We are currently collecting sign-ons to the platform and want to demonstrate strength in numbers as we share our sector's unified priorities. Please read the platform and sign on by clicking here.
