On Sunday, Father Mills reminded us that we are all carrying something. Some burden, or hardship, or worry, and that hope is our support. Sometimes that hope comes from the simple knowledge that our faith gives us.
At Good Shepherd, we believe that living life together as a community is an important part of being hope in other people’s lives. We all need encouragement at times, whether we seem like we have it all together or not. And that’s why we hope you’ll sign up for Dinner for Eight this fall.
Beyond just sharing a meal together a few times, Dinner for Eight gives us the chance to gather as Christ-followers and encourage one another. Sometimes we don’t realize what we need or what we can offer others until we are in that moment with another person. Sunday mornings are often hectic and that quick conversations in the pews or the parking lot just don’t give us enough time to really connect they way that we need to.
Dinner for Eight is the perfect way for you to meet new people, stop wondering, and start building deep relationship in our parish this fall. Sign ups close on Friday for our fall groups, so be sure to sign up this week. If you have any questions about Dinner for Eight or need help signing up, contact Peter McKee and he'll be happy to help you.
