We are not for ourselves alone

As downtown continues returning to normal we have started to see a surge in guests, and their visits underscore one of the primary reasons we exist.

On Monday, we were joined by Roland Harris and David Harris. David has been a member of our synagogue for many years, and the Harris brothers came to say Kaddish for their father, Milton Harris z'l. Not only did they continue their tradition of counting on us for a minyan, but they also brought breakfast for everyone (much appreciated!). We were also joined by a former Minyan regular, Josh Morris-Levenson, who was visiting from New York to celebrate a work milestone. He made it a point to join us and say hi to a few of his "minyannaire" friends.

On Wednesday, we were joined by Ahron Farkash who was visiting from Israel. Mr. Farkash used to come to our minyanim before COVID, but this was his first business trip to Chicago in years. He also said he was “wowed” by our stained glass window, as he had never davened in the sanctuary before.

Next time you or your guests are downtown, please join us for a minyan. For more information, click here.
