Preaching via Livestream: Archbishop Rowan Williams on Sunday, May 17
On Sunday, May 17, our preacher is Lord Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury (you may remember that he presided at the marriages of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles and later at the marriage of William and Kate). He is one of the great Christian figures of our generation. A widely published author and preacher, Lord Williams, who is fluent in eleven languages, is known for his depth and obvious holiness. This is a sermon not to be missed!

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Mother’s Day. Becky Middleton and Casey Reid will lead our Uptown band with some of the most popular worship songs today like the high energy This Is Amazing Grace (Phil Wickham) and current chart-topper, The Blessing (Kari Jobe), that is especially poignant for this season. For offertory, they will perform the soulful Lauren Daigle song Look Up Child. Be sure to hang around for the end of the service for a special Mother’s Day treat with the old school classic Mama Said.
Our Eastertide journey continues for the Fifth Sunday of Easter and Mother's Day with favorite hymns, such as Immortal, invisible, God only wise and Praise, my soul, the King of heaven. The choir will sing John Rutter's heartwarming setting of For the beauty of the earth, a text that reminds us—along with the day's Epistle reading—that every perfect gift of beauty and joy comes from God. It also reminds us specifically to give thanks for the joy of familial love, on this day that we celebrate all the mothers in our parish.

Church of the Incarnation prohibits licensed carriers from carrying firearms on its premises. Although the Texas Legislature recently struck a provision in the law that stated handguns are not allowed in a place of worship, the legislature still allows the church to prohibit licensed carriers from bringing firearms into churches if oral or written notice of that prohibition is provided as it is here. If you customarily carry a gun, please leave it locked in your car before entering the church or Incarnation Academy. Thank you.
