Monthly Meeting Announcement
Columbia Chapter of Professional Engineers of Oregon
Program: “What’s happening to our recycling? ”

When China, the world’s largest importer of scrap material (recycling) banned imports of paper, plastics, and other recycled products in 2018, it left many recycling programs in limbo, including those in the Portland metro area.

Learn what caused this crisis, what is being done nationally and locally to address the issue, and take a look into the future of sustainable material management in Oregon.
