Good evening, San Gabriel

Finally, the San Gabriel Fire Department will be participating in the Spark of Love toy drive. You may drop off toy donations at Fire Station 51 or 52. Fire personnel will also be at the Walmart located at 1827 Walnut Grove in Rosemead on November 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for this year's "Day of Giving" - we hope you can join us.

Now, here's what's making news for the week of November 8, 2018:
San Gabriel Police enacting zero tolerance policy for speeders and distracted drivers
In light of the recent tragic fatal traffic collisions involving pedestrians, the San Gabriel Police Department is enacting a “zero tolerance” policy for speeders and distracted drivers in San Gabriel. This campaign is designed to increase driver and pedestrian safety as well as raise overall awareness.

Drivers obeying the posted speed limit help increase the safety of those who use the roadways and sidewalks, including the motoring public, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
32nd annual Dance Festival at the Playhouse
Presenting the beauty of Chinese culture to the community for over three decades, the Chinese American Dancing Group presents the 32nd annual Dance Festival on November 10 at 7:00 p.m.

The following evening, WD Production Inc. presents Hong Kong pop stars Lee Lung Kee & Akina Hong in Concert on November 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Mark your calendars for this year's Holiday Tree Lighting
Join your neighbors as we ring in the holidays at this year's Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4!

Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with local schools performing some of your favorite holiday tunes. Enjoy a cup of cocoa, meet new friends, renew acquaintances, and bring an unwrapped gift for the "Spark of Love" toy drive.
