Sign up for the 2022 annual Nonprofit Summit

The Academy for Nonprofit Excellence will again host a Nonprofit Summit in January. This year, the summit is virtual, and it is geared toward nonprofit representatives from across the region. It will include learning sessions as well as keynote speaker, Leslie Crutchfield. She is the Executive Director of Business for Impact at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a leading authority on high-impact nonprofits and social change.

Cost: $85
Location: Online (Link will be sent to registrants.)
 
The summit also includes courses that meet the requirements for the Certification of Nonprofit Management through the Academy.
The Academy is a partnership between Tidewater Community College and the community foundation to provide low-cost training for our non-profit community.

Reminder: Next Community Grant Application Due Jan. 15

The application is open for our next round of community grants. There are two types:

Environmental Stewardship grants focus on programs that educate youth, grades 3-12, about Hampton Roads waterways’ health and the impact of sea level rise. 

Vibrant Places grants support major capital projects and campaigns that are transformative for the organization and the communities it serves. Organizations requesting Vibrant Places facilities grants should support one of these areas:
  • Cultural Vitality
  • Educational Success
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Health & Wellness
  • Economic Stability

Before applying, you should:
