High school completion students to graduate on May 16 & May 21
Students who completed their high school diploma or equivalency in 2018 pose for a photo following their ceremony at Mt. Ararat High School.  

Students who completed coursework to earn their high school diploma or high school equivalency credential at Regional School Unit 1 and Merrymeeting Adult Education will celebrate their graduation in May.

Merrymeeting will honor its students at 5 p.m., May 21, at Mt. Ararat High School, 73 Eagle's Way. 

Featured speakers will be Sage Gowan, and  Kimberly Holbrook, the first student to complete the HiSET at Merrymeeting's Perryman Village program. Kim is now a nursing student at Southern Maine Community College. 

A ceremony for Regional School Unit 1 students will be held at 5 p.m., May 16, at Morse High School's Montgomery Theater, 826 High Street.

Merrymeeting artists showcase their work in annual show

The exhibit will be on display until May 15 at the adult education center. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
