Want to Serve? Be a Confirmation Mentor!
Sunday, August 26, 1-2 p.m.
Are you searching for a way to explore your own spirituality? Do you long to ask questions about faith? Consider being a mentor for a high-school confirmation candidate. Confirmation is a rite in the Episcopal Church that marks a person's adult commitment to the Christian faith. Each high school candidate will be paired with an adult who will be a reflection partner, and a prayer partner. You don't have to know all the answers! If you are open to asking questions about God, interested in deepening your own understanding of faith, and doing it in a small group of other mentors, attend the Confirmation Mentor Training with Fr. Mark. Sign up with Beth Dean .

COMING IN SEPTEMBER!
Why Evil Exists?
Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., North Parish Hall
September 19-February 20
Why do humans do evil? What is behind "man's inhumanity to man," the troubling fact of human actions that produce suffering and destruction? Is it ultimately a spiritual or cosmic problem? Is it a consequence of social systems or power structures? Or is it some inner deficit of human nature, lurking in the shadow world of our psychology? Why, in the end, does evil exist? Each class includes a short video followed by discussion. Classes are facilitated by the Rev. Bill Zettinger and Bob Capettini. A free will offering of $5 per month is suggested to pay for snacks and beverages.
