Celebrate Whole Grains Month with the Grainies Awards
Back by popular demand, we're hosting a whole grain contest again this September for Whole Grains Month, which means award season for whole grains is just around the corner. Join us as we get decked out for this very special 2nd annual Grainies Award event.
Contribute a Grainies Award Prize
In September, consumers will compete to win a coveted Grainie prize and we'd love to feature your company's products as part of the award. Consumers will perform whole grain activities and challenges all month long, earning them contest entries. Throughout the month we will be randomly selecting winners to receive delicious whole grain products donated and shipped by our members. Don't miss this chance to get social media attention for your brand and products! We're looking for members who would be willing to contribute between 1-10 prizes/prize bundles (e.g. two boxes of oat & honey granola and a branded baseball cap) to be mailed by the member directly to our winning consumers after they've been selected in September. Regulatory Changes Coming in Brazil
Beginning in April 2022, products labeled "whole grain" in Brazil will need to meet new requirements, making at least 30% of the product whole grain, and making at least half of the product's grain ingredients whole. We'll be creating a new Brazilian Stamp Usage Guide and working closely with our members selling products in Brazil.

The Whole Grain Initiative will be celebrating its 3rd annual International Whole Grain Day on Tuesday, November 16. This is the perfect excuse to celebrate WGs on social media (#internationalWGDay) and spread the word. The WGI will also be hosting a webinar that you won't want to miss.
