Upcoming Events this Month
Our annual youth family cookout will be May 5. We'll meet at Althaus Park from 5-7:30pm. We'll eat dinner, play yard games, and play kickball. The youth will provide the meat and we ask that each family bring buns, sides, or desserts to share. Please sign up below to bring something and to also let us know how many people in your family will be attending.
Join us on Sunday, May 19th from 5-7pm as we welcome our rising 6th grade students with the Amazing Race! We'll eat dinner then divide up into teams compete in the amazing race. Students will get to know each other better as they work as a team completing tasks all over the church. This is guaranteed to be a fun night your students won't want to miss!

Students should wear comfortable clothes and shoes they can run in. Students are also encouraged to invite their friends!

Volunteer Opportunities
For Students:
Our Children's ministry is looking for 15 youth that would be willing to help out this year with vacation Bible school. This is a great week and a huge opportunity to share God's love with others. If your student is interested please let Drew know by May 22. Students wanting to participate have to attend the mandatory VBS training. More details to follow on this training session.
We hope that if your student is a rising 7th or 8th grade student that they have already signed up to participate in basketball camp this year. Another great opportunity that our students have with basketball camp is the chance to help lead, encourage, and give back to campers younger than them.

We are looking for student volunteers that will help lead devotions, classroom activities, and basketball drills. Please note, your student does not have to have any past experience in basketball to be a volunteer. Every person has a gift that will bring value to camp. Being a camp student volunteer is a commitment. If your student is interested, please email Drew and fill out the student volunteer application. The application needs to be turned in to Drew no later than June 2nd. Middle school students can volunteer with the morning camp, which is rising 1st-4th grade and high school students can volunteer with either or both morning and afternoon camps. If you have any questions email Drew.
For Parents:

High School Mission Week
June 16-22, 2019
Kentucky

Rising 9th - Graduated 12th Grade Students
(2 spots remaining)

This summer our High School students will be serving in Kentucky with Appalachia Service Project (ASP).

While there our students work together to help make homes in Central Appalachia warmer, safer, and drier. Our students will work 2-3 different home repair projects while getting to know the families that live there, growing closer to God, and learning lessons that will enrich their faith and build their character. Students do not have to have construction experience to attend, just a willing heart ready to serve.

The cost for each student to attend is $400. Students will also need to pay for 3-4 travel meals & any snacks or souvenirs they may want. Once your student has registered, a $50 non-refundable deposit is due to hold their spot. Space is limited.
