Signed Editions

Cleaning shelves last week was a great way to start the new year.

Not only did it provide some order and the feeling of a new beginning, I discovered some items I had forgotten about.  I also had a few new items arrive.

So, I thought I would share them with you.

All are signed by the author.

As always, to order or see images of the signatures or inscriptions, click on the images below.

Be well,

Wright, John Lloyd.
My Father Who Is On Earth.
New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1946.
Hardcover. First Edition. First Printing. 195 pp. 8vo. Dust jacket is clean and tight with very minor sunning to the spine, now in mylar cover. Front cover design very reminiscent of his father, Frank Lloyd Wright's style, also the "Father" referenced in the title. Includes the complete text of "The House Beautiful" by William Gannet published as a limited edition by Wright client, William Winslow, in 1896 and illustrated by Frank Lloyd Wright. [Sweeney 648]. Signed by John Lloyd Wright on the half-title page.

The second son of Frank Lloyd Wright and Catherine Tobin Wright, John Lloyd Wright (1892-1927), like his elder brother Lloyd (Frank Lloyd Wright Jr.) followed their father into the profession of architecture. Like so many in their father's orbit, it was a stormy relationship. The disclaimer at the beginning of the book sets the tone: "If the characters in this book resemble in any way, anyone living or dead--it is meant that they should do so."
