Silent Night!!! 12/22/24
Luke 2:10-14 (KJV)
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
HOLY SOLEMNITY-ALL IS CALM, ALL IS BRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!
Peace in the midst of storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Till the Storm Passes By
A STORM, in its most simple definition, most often arrives SUDDENLY-without warning!!!
Conversely, THANKFULLY, so does great news!!!
Luke 2:13 (KJV)
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Upon arising (PRAISE THE LORD THAT ALL OF US “AROSE” this morning!!!) the first thing I read-the very first thing-was a BELOVED friend desiring PEACE!!!!!!
Little did she know that God had already spoken to me the long night before me to speak on that very same subject-PEACE.
PEACE IN THE MIDST OF STORM!!!
After a long and grueling day of what I perceived as success-a long day of stressful navigating TERRIBLE traffic and terrible customer service, I thought I had accomplished some GOOD.
I happily retired for the night, “ALL IS CALM, ALL IS BRIGHT!!!”
Little did I know of the impending storm that awaited and disturbed my hard won PEACE......
satan accompanied “my” storm-the battle in my very heart and soul erupted.
Then the Words of Holy Script entered my heart:
Philippians 4:6-8 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
God REMINDED me that He and HEALONE was God AND:
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
No matter what harm the storm menaced that GOD AND GOD ALONE would be WITH me and that GOD AND GOD ALONE would see me IN it and THROUGH it-NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The WONDERFUL day of CHRISTMAS-the Birth of our marvelous SAVIOR is upon us.
Do you hear the silent hush of the season-the stilling of all creation in reverent SOLEMNITY?????????????????????
ALL IS CALM ALL IS BRIGHT
Every Christmas is different.........
Different people, different locations, aching loneliness, and tearful rejoicing.
Has a “storm” suddenly erupted in YOUR life????
To quote Brother Mushegan in the link posted aboved:
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
To finish “my” simple outcome of my storm:
“ALL IS CALM, ALL IS BRIGHT!!!”
The sun is shining brightly, it is COLD outside, trouble and more CHANGE await me in the coming days, BUT....................................
“ALL IS CALM, ALL IS BRIGHT!!!”
The SAME God who got me through this week's storm/storms is the same God who will see me/YOU through this day's storms and ALL storms awaiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
I close with these COMFORTING Words:
Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
I LOVE YOU!!!!
