This class is designed to work on toning, conditioning as well as sculpturing the body. The muscle toning and conditioning exercises will target areas such as the abdominal muscles, thighs, arms and hips. Our certified instructor will help you take it to another level.

WCS is a partner dance with roots in Lindy Hop. It is characterized by a distinctive elastic look that results from its basic extension-compression technique of partner connection, and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor. The dance steps allows for both partners to improvise while dancing together. It is an evolving social dance that has gone through many changes throughout its short history, over time incorporating techniques from numerous dance styles. Both Rob Jackson and William Mattock have performed and competed and placed in various competitions. Their teaching ability is just as strong. So, come out and join us as well venture into another fun partner social dance..

 Silky Smooth Dance Studio was started by owner Sandra Mason in April of 2007 to provide our Northern, VA residents as well as aspiring dancers with group classes that would develop the movement skills they need to advance their social dancing skills. We are aware of the various dance programs in the Metro area; however we manage to tailor our program to meet the needs of those students not as advanced. We offer Hand Dance workshops from basic to intermediate levels with the dynamic assistants that best help our students gain the physical and mental confidence needed to dance better.
