HONORING A LOCAL HERO

This month we are honoring a local hero, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw. Bradshaw, who has 50 years of experience in law enforcement, has served five terms as sheriff. He was first elected as Palm Beach County sheriff in 2004.

Sheriff Bradshaw has dedicated his life to serve and protect the citizens of Palm Beach County. As sheriff, he has ensured Palm Beach County has one of the nation's premier law enforcement agencies. Under his leadership, PBSO has taken down the gangs, busted up the pill mills, hunted down cyber predators and locked up human traffickers. From community policing to the front lines of homeland security, Palm Beach County is safer today than ever before.

Urgent Safety Warning: Dangerous Replacement Air Bags Linked to Fatalities

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued an urgent warning for drivers whose vehicles were previously involved in crashes where air bags deployed. Federal investigators are examining illegally imported, substandard replacement air bag inflators from China that have been installed in vehicles in the United States and linked to multiple deaths and severe injuries.

According to NHTSA, nine people have died and two others were seriously injured in 11 crashes involving vehicles that had their air bags replaced after an earlier collision. These crashes were ones that should have been survivable, but the replacement inflators—manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co. Ltd. (DTN)—malfunctioned, ruptured, and sent metal fragments into drivers’ faces, necks, and chests. DTN inflators are strictly prohibited from sale or use in the United States.

Drivers may be at increased risk if they own a vehicle with a salvage or rebuilt title, a vehicle previously involved in a crash where air bags deployed, or a used vehicle with an unknown repair history. Because these inflators are installed after a car leaves the factory, a standard VIN or recall check will not identify the danger. Vehicle history reports showing prior crashes, air bag deployment, or non-certified repairs are key warning signs.

If your vehicle has a history of air bag deployment—especially if it carries a salvage title—it should be inspected immediately by a certified dealership or reputable mechanic. If a DTN inflator is found, the vehicle should not be driven until the air bag is replaced with genuine equipment. Suspect inflators should also be reported to law enforcement and to NHTSA’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.

Silver Injury Law Supports Life-Saving Education at Lake Worth High

Silver Injury Law was proud to sponsor two powerful days at Lake Worth Community High School, where Dori Saves Lives reached the entire student body through four impactful safety assemblies. These assemblies delivered critical, life-saving lessons designed to empower students with knowledge that can truly protect them and their peers.

We extend our sincere thanks to Sheriff Bradshaw for joining the program and demonstrating his continued commitment to student safety and community education.

At Silver Injury Law, we believe prevention and education are just as important as advocacy. Supporting initiatives like Dori Saves Lives allows us to make a meaningful difference beyond the courtroom—and helps ensure safer futures for our local students.

Advancing Legal Excellence: Highlights from the Trial Lawyers Summit

Bruce Silver recently attended the Trial Lawyers Summit in Miami Beach, a premier event for trial attorneys to share strategies, discuss emerging case law, and enhance advocacy skills.

At the summit, Bruce participated in workshops and sessions focused on effective trial techniques and innovative approaches to client representation, bringing back insights to benefit the firm’s clients.

Attending events like this reflects our commitment to professional growth and excellence, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of legal advocacy and continues to provide top-notch representation.

Supporting Senior Safety in Our Community

Our firm recently had the pleasure of attending a Senior Safety Expo in partnership with Dori Saves Lives, an organization dedicated to promoting safety, awareness, and injury prevention within our community. The event was hosted by the Alliance of Delray, and we are grateful for their efforts in bringing together seniors, families, and local advocates for a day focused on education, connection, and practical tools to help keep our loved ones safe.

The Expo provided valuable information on a range of safety topics, including pedestrian awareness, traffic safety, and injury prevention—issues that disproportionately impact older adults.

Events like this highlight the importance of community outreach and proactive education. Seniors are often more vulnerable to serious injury and empowering them with knowledge is a critical step in prevention. We were proud to support an initiative that prioritizes safety before tragedy occurs.

We thank Dori Saves Lives for the important work they do and the Alliance of Delray for hosting such a meaningful event. Our firm remains committed to supporting community programs that promote safety, awareness, and well-being for seniors and families alike.

Happy Valentines Day

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, all of us at Silver Injury Law want to send warm wishes to our clients and community. We hope your week is filled with love, joy, and special moments with those who matter most!
