HONORING A LOCAL HERO: WADE WADDICK

This month, we are proud to recognize Wade Waddick, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and true community leader. Wade dedicates his time and energy to supporting fellow veterans in need through the Wounded Veteran Relief Fund (WVRF)—an organization that provides critical assistance to local veterans in crisis.

For the past eight years, Wade has hosted the Devil Dog 5K/10K, a race that raises both funds and awareness for WVRF. Beyond his advocacy for veterans, Wade is the owner and operator of Evolution Fitness in Boca Raton, where he is committed to improving the health and lives of his members. He also champions other charitable causes, including Toys for Tots, further demonstrating his passion for service and community.

We are honored to sponsor the Devil Dog 5K/10K and invite you to join us on September 28th. Lace up your running shoes, channel your inner warrior, and help us celebrate our veterans by racing, raising funds, and making a difference.

When Do Most Crashes Happen in Palm Beach County?

Ever wonder which day of the week is riskiest to be on the road in Palm Beach County—or how many crashes involve road rage or distracted drivers? A new interactive map from the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency has the answers.

The Crash Dashboard (PalmBeachTPA.org/CrashDashboard) shows details from more than 219,000 crashes between 2019–2023, with 2024 data coming later this year. The tool pulls directly from police reports and lets users filter by city, district, time of day, and even crash type.

Key findings from the data:

  • Friday is the most dangerous day on the road, with over 37,000 crashes in five years.
  • Sunday is the safest, though still with 22,000 crashes.
  • Nearly half of all fatal crashes happen Friday–Sunday.
  • Crashes peak in December (20,500) and dip in July (16,200).
  • Distracted driving caused 11% of crashes—far more than alcohol (2%) or drugs (1%).
  • Crash hotspots include I-95 at Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Congress Avenue, and several Boca Raton exits.

While the dashboard is designed to help officials improve safety, anyone can use it to learn more about local crash trends—or even look up information on a crash that hit close to home.

At Silver Injury Law We Have Been Known to Walk "The Last Mile"

At Silver Injury Law we've been known to walk the "last mile" for our clients meaning that, when liability is uncertain or disputed, we will literally walk the "last mile" on the roadway before an accident happened so that we can see what the other motorist should have seen but didn't. We are mindful that, while we will move on to the next case, our clients only have one case so we conduct our own investigations to turn over every stone so that Justice can be allowed to prevail. Absolutely nobody is as thorough as me and my team in our pursuit of justice. - Bruce Silver Esq.
