Hero of the Month: Stacey Mullins Garbowit

This month, we proudly recognize Stacey Mullins Garbowit, founding director of the EBC Foundation, as our Hero of the Month. Inspired by the loss of her mother to breast cancer, Stacey has dedicated herself to spreading awareness about the importance of early detection, organizing the inaugural Every Boob Counts 5K in her mother’s honor. She serves on the Sharsheret Florida Advisory Committee and their National Board, and previously on the Susan G. Komen South Florida Board.

A respected family law attorney at Gray Robinson in Boca Raton, Stacey is also an accomplished author and lecturer. When not advocating for breast cancer awareness or practicing law, she enjoys running marathons and triathlons, golfing with her husband, and spending time with her children. Stacey’s dedication, leadership, and passion make her a true inspiration in our community.

We hope you’ll join us for Every Boob Counts 5K on October 11, 2026!

A Look Back at Every Boob Counts

Silver Injury Law is proud to sponsor Every Boob Counts again this year. We’ve supported this event in previous years, and we’re glad to join the community once more in raising awareness and showing support for those affected by breast cancer.

The photos below offer a look back at past Every Boob Counts events and the people who made them so meaningful. We look forward to making more memories together this year.

New Crosswalk Planned Near Greenacres Elementary

A new crosswalk is planned for Haverhill Road near Greenacres Elementary School after families raised concerns about children crossing the busy road to get to class. Palm Beach County Engineering and Public Works conducted a pedestrian study and determined that an additional crossing is needed.

The exact location is still being decided. County officials are considering a crossing near Carver Street or 4th Street, and the City of Greenacres has agreed to provide a crossing guard once it is installed. The crosswalk is expected to be completed in early 2027.

This is welcome progress for families who walk to school. A marked crossing and a crossing guard can give children a clearer place to cross, but drivers must still slow down, watch for pedestrians, and be ready to stop. Until the new crossing is in place, families should use existing designated crossings and take extra care along Haverhill Road.

Spanish River High School Student Honored for Traffic Safety PSA

Silver Injury Law is proud to sponsor Dori Saves Lives and support its mission of making our roads safer. Recently, we attended a Palm Beach County School Board meeting to celebrate Samantha, a student at Spanish River High School and the first-place winner of the Dori Saves Lives PSA contest.

Samantha used her creativity to share an important traffic safety message with her peers and community. It was wonderful to see her recognized by the School Board for her work. Congratulations, Samantha! We hope your message inspires more young people to speak up for safer roads.

At Silver Injury Law We Have Been Known to Walk "The Last Mile"

At Silver Injury Law we've been known to walk the "last mile" for our clients meaning that, when liability is uncertain or disputed, we will literally walk the "last mile" on the roadway before an accident happened so that we can see what the other motorist should have seen but didn't. We are mindful that, while we will move on to the next case, our clients only have one case so we conduct our own investigations to turn over every stone so that Justice can be allowed to prevail.
